Como cristianos y discípulos, hemos sido llamados por Jesus a enseñar a otros, a hacer discípulos en todas las naciones, y a bautizarlos en el nombre del Padre, del Hijo, y del Espíritu Santo (Mateo 28-18-20). Como padres, estamos pastoreando a nuestros hijos ya que ellos son los discípulos más importantes que podemos hacer. Los criamos de tal manera que desarrollen pasión, interés, y amor por Jesús, y sigan Sus mandamientos, los cuales son muy simples, amar al Señor y al prójimo (Mateo 22:37-39).
As Christians and disciples, we have been called by Jesus to teach others, make disciples in all nations, and baptize them in the name of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit, (Matthew 28:18-20). As parents, we are shepherding our children since they are the most important disciplines we could make. We are to raise them in such a way that they develop passion, interest and love for Jesus, and follow His commandments, which are very simple, love the Lord and love others (Matthew 22:37-39).
Por lo tanto, al criar a nuestro hijos en los caminos del Señor, debemos ser conscientes de que estamos preparando a la siguiente generación de líderes y evangelistas (2 Timoteo 3:16-17; Efesios 4:11-12), y eso comienza cuando invertimos intencionalmente en nuestros pequeños, para que cuando crezcan, ellos decidan seguir a Jesús y convertirse en Sus discípulos (Proverbios 22:6; Marcos 4:8,20)
Therefore, to raise our children in the ways of the Lord, we are to be mindful that we are equipping the next generation of leaders and evangelists (2 Timothy 3:16-17; Ephesians 4:11-12), and it starts when we intentionally invest in our little ones, so when they grow up, they decide to follow Jesus and become His disciples (Proverbs 22:6; Mark 4:8,20).
Bilingüismo, específicamente español e inglés en las Américas puede abrir puertas de comunicación, evangelismo, conocimiento cultural, y habilidad de nuestros hijos y de nosotros mismos de hablar con alguien más en su lenguaje predilecto ( 1 Corintios 14:25-27). Amamos al prójimo de muchas maneras como Jesús nos mandó (1 Juan 4:21, 1 Corintios 13:4-7), pero tenemos una entrada más fácil cuando hablamos a sus fibras, a sus pasiones, en su "lenguaje" (Hechos 20:1-3; 28:16,30-31). Que grán regalo sería preparar a nuestros hijos con una herramienta tan poderosa, con la capacidad de responderle a Dios "sí" si ellos son llamados para ser enviados a las naciones, cuando estén listos (Isaías 6:8).
Bilingualism, specifically Spanish and English in the Americas can open doors of communication, evangelism, cultural awareness, and our children's and our own ability to speak with someone in their heart language (1 Corinthians 14:25-27). We love others in many ways like Jesus commanded us (1 John 4:21, 1 Corinthians 13:4-7), but we have an easier entry into people's lives when we speak to their fibers, their passions, in their "language" (Acts 20:1-3; 28:16,30-31). What a great gift would it be to equip our children with such a powerful tool, with the capacity to answer God "yes" if they are called to be send to the nations, when they are ready (Isaiah 6:8).
Si tú estás interesado en enseñar a tus hijos español o inglés, ten la seguridad que no tienes que saber el lenguaje ahora, pero tienes que estar dispuesto a aprender con ellos, a invertir en la misión, y llevarla a cabo. Debes demostrar un compromiso apasionado por ella, porque ellos te están viendo, y los niños aprenden más por lo que hacemos que por lo que decimos. If you’re interested in teaching your children Spanish or English, rest assure, you don’t have to know the language now, but you do have to be willing to learn alongside them, to invest in the mission, and see it through. You should passionately demonstrate commitment for it, because they’re watching you, and children learn more from what we do than what we say. So welcome to the journey of bilingualism, creating and equipping disciples of Christ, His witnesses unto the uttermost part of the earth (Acts 1:8) or if it is the case, and by His grace, future missionaries.
